In the Uber world, a rider has a few pick up choices when setting up their ride request.
You can enter the exact address of where you are at or you can have the App "Pin" you. As an Uber driver I prefer you give an exact address because "pinning" doesn't always point me in your direction.
The GPS technology can be somewhat unreliable with that. I've had passengers that were one block over from where the App sent me. The most severe was (according to Google Maps) a half of a mile off. Luckily, the person wasn't upset with me for this mishap and they were at their destination on time, but still.
I do everything I can to make sure each of my passengers get to their destination as soon and as safe as possible. So if I could have one wish fulfilled - it would be that you (the rider) helped me to help you get to where you wanna go, by imputing the exact address.
If that isn't possible, be patient with me while I negotiate with the App as I take my journey to you...
